Møllerens barley rice is entirely natural and serves as a fantastic, easy-to-make substitute for potatoes, pasta, and traditional rice. When you sauté this barley rice with fresh seasonal vegetables, you end up with a delicious and nutritious dish.
EASY TO MAKE
Ingredients
- 300 g Møllerens Dinner Rice made of barley
- 3 pcs bell peppers (1 yellow, 1 green, 1 red)
- 50 g Sugar snap peas
- 2 pcs Onions (1 yellow and 1 red)
- 1 pc Small Zucchini
- 5 g Chili
- 10 cloves Garlic
- 5 g Finely chopped Ginger
- 1 dl Oyster sauce
- 2-3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 1 dl Sunflower oil
- 1 cup Mint
cashews if preferred
How to prepare it:
- Soak 2 packets of barley rice in cold water for 2 hours.
- Slice all vegetables into fine strips.
- Heat up a wok and pour in half of the sunflower oil.
- Stir-fry the soaked barley rice for around 2 minutes.
- Remove the rice, add the remaining oil, and sauté the vegetable strips for 4 minutes.
- Mix in chili, garlic, and ginger thoroughly.
- Next, blend in the oyster and soy sauces.
- Reintroduce the barley rice and finish with chopped mint.
- Sprinkle cashew nuts on top if you like, right before serving.
